Karibu — welcome

Your guide, your friend in Tanzania

Karibu! I was born and raised in Tanzania, and I have spent more than a decade guiding travellers through the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and beyond.

After years of working for large safari companies, I started No Hurry in Africa with one simple idea: the best safaris are the slow ones. We wait for the light. We switch off the engine and listen. We take the quiet track instead of following the crowd.

When you travel with me, you don't get a driver — you get a friend in Tanzania who happens to know where the leopards sleep.

What travellers say

★★★★★
“Our guide knew exactly when to stop and simply switch off the engine. We watched a leopard for over an hour while other jeeps came and went in five minutes. "No hurry" is not a slogan — it's truly how he works.”

“Best guide we have ever had, anywhere. He spotted a serval in grass where we saw absolutely nothing, and his knowledge of birds is astonishing. The lodges he picked were perfect.”
Emma Richardson — United Kingdom

“With two children (6 and 9) we were worried a safari would be too much. It was the opposite — he turned every drive into an adventure for them. They still talk about "their" lion every day.”
Familie Janssen — Netherlands

“We saw the migration cross the Mara river on day five. Our guide had us positioned an hour early with coffee and the patience of a saint. Worth every minute of the wait.”
