Tarangire National Park

Tarangire is the connoisseur's park. Most visitors rush through in half a day — we don't.

In the dry season the Tarangire River is the only water for miles, and everything comes to it: elephant families by the hundred, buffalo, lions, and some of the best birdlife in Tanzania.

The baobabs alone are worth the trip — some are over a thousand years old.
